AQUAFEAT belongs to the CEPROTEK group, an industrial group specialising in plastics processing. René Herbert, the founder of the group, came up with the idea of a reinforced formwork, designed for quality concrete pool constructors, after making his own pool in 2001. At the time, he chose the highest quality and long-lasting method available on the market: have your pool built, made-to-measure, in the traditional way using shuttered concrete. This manufacturing method turned out to be large-scale (the panels are put in place with a crane), complicated and expensive. After studying alternative solutions, it became clear – the other processes out there did not enable the construction of high quality concrete.

Taking into account the expertise of the group, notably experience in transforming thermoplastics, René Herbert, alongside the design office and different teams within the group, decided to develop an unparalleled, innovative formwork. It is made up of modular polypropylene panels, supported by integrated reinforcements. Designing the formwork this way perfectly conforms to the NF DTU (French Regulations for Standardised Technical Documents) concrete constructions standards. It is 100% made in France, and uses environmentally friendly, recyclable thermoplastics.
Our method is internationally patented. AQUAFEAT formwork remains today the inescapable solution for building environmentally respectful pools, that are made-to-measure in high quality reinforced concrete that is as robust as traditional shuttered concrete, but much faster to install.
